Disturbed, Twenty One Pilots Hit No. 1 on Rock Charts

The visibility of twenty one pilots' hit single "Stressed Out" continues to soar. The duo scores its first No. 1 on a Billboard digital song sales chart, as the track ascends by 53 percent to 46,000 downloads sold in the tracking week ending Dec. 17, according to Nielsen Music.
"Stressed Out" rises 2-1 on both Rock Digital Songs and Alternative Digital Songs (dated Jan. 2), marking the single's best sales week, besting its debut week of 31,000 sold in the week ending May 3.
As the song's momentum strengthens, it leads the Alternative Songs airplay chart for a seventh week, rises 19-16 on the Pop Songs airplay chart, hits the Billboard Hot 100'stop 20 (28-19) and continues to receive exposure thanks to syncs on ESPN.

No. 1 'SOUND': On Hard Rock Digital SongsDisturbed notches its third No. 1 with its cover of Simon & Garfunkel's classic "The Sound of Silence" (11,000, up 40 percent). "Silence" has been available for download since the band's Aug. 21 release ofImmortalized, which debuted atop the Billboard 200, but has received renewed interest following its music video's debut Dec. 8. On Hot Rock Songs, "Silence" jumps 18-12. Simon & Garfunkel's original topped the Hot 100 for two weeks in January 1966.

Disturbed has scored prior remake success: its cover of Genesis' "Land of Confusion" ruled Mainstream Rock Songs for three weeks in 2006.
NEW-SWORTHY: Three notable tracks break onto the Rock, Alternative and Hard Rock Digital Songs charts, chief among them The 1975's "UGH!" The second song revealed from the British rockers' upcoming sophomore album I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware of It starts with 13,000 sold and debuts at No. 5 on both Rock Digital Songs and Alternative Digital Songs. The set's lead single "Love Me" bowed at No. 3 on both lists dated Oct. 31 (34,000). "UGH!" is also the Hot Shot Debut on Hot Rock Songs at No. 10.
Likewise previewing their second full-length album, American Authors launch on Alternative Digital Songs at No. 14 and Rock Digital Songs at No. 16 with "Pride" (7,000). The track begins at No. 33 on Hot Rock Songs.
Meanwhile, Killswitch Engage is back with a new single, "Strength of My Mind," which starts on Hard Rock Digital Songs at No. 4 and Rock Digital Songs at No. 33 (4,000).Incarnate, the band's seventh LP, is due in the first quarter of 2016.
