David Draiman, the lead singer of the band Disturbed, has sold his castle-like house in Los Angeles' Northridge area for $2,580,000.

In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on the sale of Draiman's house at 17231 Gresham Street in Northridge, which Draiman had purchased in late 2005 for $2,535,000 (just $45,000 less than he sold the house for, meaning he surely lost money on the deal). Public records show that Draiman sold the house on October 23 to a woman who is not a celebrity. The deal was recorded on November 16.

We wrote on November 5 about Draiman having listed the castle-like house, just a day after the Los Angeles Times' Ruth Ryon had written a piece on Draiman's listing. Built in 1992 (or as the Los Angeles Times put it, transformed in 1992 from "a nondescript tract house"), Draiman's now-former house has six bedrooms and 6,870 square feet.
Features in the house include seven baths, a vaulted and beamed ceilings, grand fireplaces with antique mantels, theater chandeliers, stained glass, leaded windows, a master suite with an expansive bay window seat and a sumptuous bath, a secret door that leads to an exercise room and an office, and a kitchen with a SubZero refrigerator, granite counters and a Viking stove, according to listing information. Other features include a 3,000-square-foot attic with windows, a north/south tennis court, a guest house, a pool with a lap lane, a koi pond, a waterfall, and gargoyles everywhere, according to listing information. Still other features include a great room with a 24-foot-high ceiling, barrel-vaulted halls, turrets, dragons and griffins, the Times reported. The castle sits on a 0.67-acre lot, according to public records.
It's still unclear whether Draiman will own another house in southern California. He sold a 3,864-square-foot house at 15491 Del Gado Drive in Los Angeles' Sherman Oaks area late last year for $1,525,000, according to public records. And, it's no secret that he has homes in other parts of the country, including in his hometown of Brooklyn, N.Y., and also a place in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood that he purchased in late 2005 for $849,000, according to public records.
