Disturbed's David Draiman Rockin' and Rollin' Out of His Austin Home - CELEBRITY REAL ESTATE

Surprisingly enough, metal maestro David Draiman, the frontman for the bands Disturbed and Device, is about much more than facial piercings and music. He’s also into real estate, as he’s renting out a luxurious penthouse in Honolulu, and now he’s looking to sell his castlelike family home in Austin, TX, which he recently put on the market for $2.25 million.
You might be wondering how a nice Chicago metal head like Draiman landed in the Lone Star State. He told a music reporter that he moved to Austin from his hometown of Chicago because the taxes are lower in Texas. Plus, the singer noted the section of Austin where his house is located is in one of the best school districts in the country. There’s also its relatively proximity to SXSW and other music festivals in the state’s most anachronistic town.
The house has six bedrooms, six baths, and six half-baths. The main residence is 8,269 square feet, including a studio/office where he recorded the self-titled “Device” album. There’s also a home theater, billiard room, poker room, wine cellar, gym, and multilevel infinity pool and spa.
The fortresslike estate was built in 2007, with materials imported from around the world. Draiman bought the home in 2012 for $2.35 million.
“With a recent replacement appraisal of almost $4 million, this could be one of the best values in Austin,” says listing agent Andy Allen of Keller Williams Austin Northwest. The property is located in an upscale yet remote suburb of Austin, which is 9 miles from downtown and 2 miles from Lake Austin.
Draiman is married to former WWE wrestling diva Lena Yada, and they have one son, Samuel Bear Isamu Draiman, who was born in 2013. Disturbed released its latest album, “Immortalized,” in 2015, and is currently touring in Europe, with gigs in Scandinavia, Luxembourg, Russia, and France.
