Can you get down with this sickness? Gravelly voiced David Draiman, the lead singer for Disturbed, is renting out his posh penthouse apartment in Honolulu, HI, for $10,000 a month.
With three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a den, this 2,015-square-foot end unit is a total tropical retreat. Located in a high-rise apartment complex in Kaka’ako, Honolulu’s commercial and retail district, it’s also just across the street from the massive Ala Moana mall.
Along with the movie theater and yoga facilities offered within the luxury building, $120,000 a year will get you stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and Diamond Head off in the distance.
The unit also offers 10-foot-plus ceilings and a wraparound porch, or lanai as the locals call it. The penthouse has a modern look, with hardwood floors, walls of windows, recessed lighting, and espresso-colored kitchen cabinetry that contrasts elegantly with the clean white walls.
Draiman’s wife, former WWE Diva Lena Yada, was born in Honolulu, and the couple also own property in Texas. And the singer’s probably hoping to close out the year with another success: Disturbed released an album in June after a four-year hiatus; it sold 98,000 copies in its first week.
And if you are interested in this property, don’t try to contact the 42-year-old singer on Twitter. He abandoned social media earlier this year after being repeatedly harassed for his support of Israel. Kimo Smigielski is the listing agent.
